→ Twelvenote Brew Co. is a brewery and taproom (from the brains behind the eponymous agency) aiming to make sweet music out of water, malt, hops, and yeast. Pairing beer and music is a no-brainer, so the challenge was in creating a brand that’s both iconic and cohesive, but with as much flexibility as the twelve notes on a scale.

The identity elements are simple with a subtle nod to musicality in the logo, a versatile selection of typefaces, and a palette that pairs black and white with vibrant accents.

The core lineup of brews is unified by a five-line motif that anchors abstract graphics inspired by classic album art.

Each beer features a custom icon inspired by vintage music labels and a sticker used to identify kegs and taps.

Hand-painted signage marks the brewery as a new destination – while paying homage to the area’s industrial past.

An ever-rotating series of sessionable, experimental, and seasonal beers rounds out the mix. Inspired by the deep black of vinyl records and their vibrant labels, these type-driven designs push the brand into more expressive territory, while following a strict logic.
